Every approved number has a path back to evidence.

CharFlo does not treat a generated answer as finished accounting work. It moves source material through extraction, deterministic checks, clarification, and human approval.

The evidence trail

InputSource materialStatements, receipts, tax documents, trial balances, or authorized transaction data.
PrepareStructured evidenceDocuments are classified, extracted, deduplicated, and attached to confidence and source information.
ControlChecks and questionsExplicit accounting logic verifies totals and reconciliation. Thin evidence becomes a question.
ApproveHuman decisionAn authorized person reviews proposals, resolves uncertainty, and approves what leaves the workflow.

Bookkeeping preparation

Digital files use their text and table structure where possible. Scans and images use document extraction with repair and control-total checks. Statements are reconciled, duplicate uploads are excluded, and categorization combines rules, approved history, and bounded suggestions.

A low-signal transaction remains uncertain. It is grouped for clarification or review rather than pushed into an account to make the workflow look complete.

Financial statements

Trial balances are normalized and checked before account mappings are proposed. A person approves the mapping. Statement construction and financial totals are deterministic.

No force-balancing.

If the underlying records do not support a complete or balanced output, CharFlo shows the discrepancy or limits the report instead of inventing an offset.

Tax preparation support

The tax workflow organizes documents, retrieves relevant guidance, and produces flags, missing-item questions, and review notes. It does not calculate authoritative tax liability, decide deduction eligibility, or file a return.

A qualified tax professional remains responsible for the tax return and the decisions behind it.
